We have had one extreme to another the last few times! Pouring rain then boiling sunshine - good ole British weather!! We are now gearing up to the last few 'play' dates and then we have the Deerhound Fun day coming in July. Everybody is welcome - it should be great fun. Lots of games, racing and some different events to cater for everybody - Watch this space xx

Well, we had a fabulous time on October the 30th running a Lure Racing Event for the Working Section of the Beagle Club. In a beautiful setting in Kent kindly organised and hosted by Jenny Forbes. The beagles had a lovely time, giving it their all around the course and finished the day by running in 'Packs' which was a sight to behold. We can't wait for the next one!

Moving into Autumn.... The nights drawing in has brought evening racing to a close after a fabulous and successful summer of racing. We have found a lovely venue to help enable us to move forward and we are in the process of sorting that out. It's very exciting!

We had a great time on Monday the 15th. The light was a little gloomy but it didn't bother the dogs! Lots of great runs around an extra long course and even Hilly the Jack Russell enjoyed stretching her legs out along the straights! The deerhounds practised being paired in 'slips' so they could practise for a demonstration coming up. All the others bar a reluctant one had a good fews gos and went home very content.......

Well, what a lovely weekend! Firstly we were soo lucky with the weather - it got a bit hot in the afternoon but luckily we had pretty much finished by then. We had a fabulous turn out with all sorts entering the dog show. I didn't envy the judges who had so many lovely dogs. They all said how hard it was to choose. The lure racing went nonstop all day with pretty much all of the dogs giving it a go as well as a few owners and even my friends children gave it a whirl! Maybe we should hire it to schools! |

Hammer and Harp Farm proved to be a great venue for Lure Coursing. The field was large and flat, the food was lovely especially the eccles cakes! It was very relaxing with people sitting around in the sunshine. FAB!

We are still not quite there with a venue although by the end of this week we should be all ready to get going - hopefully starting again on the 23rd or the 29th May. It's very frustrating but the end is in sight!!

Teething problems with Lure made my worst nightmare come true. Everybody was very understanding but it is something that we have worked very hard to avoid so it was very disappointing. I think the exceptionally dry weather meant the sand was very loose and was blowing about getting into the clutch.
